These terms cover your use of Vintrail. By visiting the site or looking up a vehicle, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please stop using the site.

What Vintrail is

Vintrail is a free lookup for vehicle history and auction records. You enter a VIN or lot number and the site shows photos, specifications, damage record, odometer and past sale data where a record exists. It is an information service, not a party to any sale, auction or shipment.

Accuracy of records

Records are compiled from sources that can be incomplete, dated or wrong. Odometer figures, damage descriptions, title status and sale prices reflect what a source reported at a point in time, not a verified present condition. Treat every record as a starting point and confirm anything that matters with a physical inspection and the relevant title authority before you act on it.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Scrape, bulk-download or resell the records except through features the site offers.
• Use the site to harass a person or to make a decision about someone unlawfully.
• Probe, overload or interfere with the service or its infrastructure.
• Misrepresent a record as an official title, inspection or certification.

Accounts

You can use most of the site without an account. An account lets you save a small private watchlist of VINs. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in details secure and for activity under your account. We may suspend an account that breaks these terms.

Intellectual property

The site layout, text and design are Vintrail's. Underlying vehicle facts are not owned by anyone. You may reference an individual record for your own research. You may not copy the site's content wholesale.

No warranty

The service is provided as is, without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee that a record exists for a given vehicle, that a record is accurate, or that the site will be available without interruption.

Limit of liability

To the extent the law allows, Vintrail is not liable for any loss arising from your use of the site or reliance on a record, including a purchase, sale or import decision. The records are informational and you act on them at your own risk.

Changes

We may update these terms as the service changes. The date above shows the last revision. Continued use after a change means you accept the revised terms.

Governing terms

If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. These terms are the whole agreement between you and Vintrail about use of the site.
